- Introduction
The proposed BSc Nursing programme is a response to an expressed need for tertiary education by the registered Nurses in Zimbabwe through needs analysis survey carried out in 1998. In line with the dynamic health and socio-economic environment and complex patient/community needs and challenges, it has become imperative for a practicing nurse to upgrade her/his knowledge, attitudes, skills and competencies. The proposed programme is therefore intended for qualified nurses and does not provide for acquisition of basic nursing skills.
