The Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) Harare Regional Campus held a medal presentation ceremony to honour students who were outstanding during this year’s event of the Vice Chancellor’s tournament that was held in Mutare in September 2017.

Acting Harare Regional Campus Director,  Mr Clemence Mabaso, Administrator,  Mrs. Tigere and relegated premiership side Harare City captain Martin Vengesayi graced the medals ceremony.

The medal presentation exercise, a brainchild of the Student Representative Council, SRC, was meant to inspire some students to take up extra-curricular activities.

SRC spokes person, Melusi Nhengu said the exercise will inspire some students to do what others are doing. The University has abundance of talent in different sporting disciplines, but students were reluctant to take up sports especially at ODL institutions.
