Matebeleland North Region
Welcome to Matebeleland North Region. This is a rural region which provides university education through distance teaching and open learning to all those who need it who reside in the seven districts of Matebeleland North Province. These districts are Mguza, Bubi, Tsholotsho, Nkayi, Lupane, Hwange and Binga. The Region covers two of Zimbabwe's premier tourist attractions - the Hwange National Park and the mighty Victoria Falls on the Zambezi river
Location
Currently, the Regional Offices are located in Bulawayo. This is very unsatisfactory for most of our students who have to travel over 450 kilometres to attend weekend school tutorials or access Regional services. It is envisaged that the Region will shortly re-locate to Lupane which has now been declared by Government as the Provincial Capital for Matabeleland North.
