1.  A minimum qualification of a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from a recognised university;

2.  Membership to the Institute of Architect in Zimbabwe (IAZ) is a must; and

3.  A Master of Science in Architecture from a recognised university would be an added advantage.

Required Experience

1.   A minimum of three (3) years relevant post qualification experience.

Other Attributes

1.   Good leadership qualities;

2.   High level of motivation and commitment to duty;

3.   Ability to communicate effectively at all levels;

4.   Be able to compile and able to produce reports;

5.   Be able to work as part of a team; and

6.   Knowledge of distance education would be an added advantage.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1.  Preparing and presenting design proposals on behalf of the University;

2.  Preparing tender, planning applications and their presentation;

3.  Advising the Director, Infrastructure and Estate Management on infrastructure development;

4.  Assisting the Director, Infrastructure and Estate Management in the monitoring and evaluating the projects time frame;

5.  Producing detailed drawings for which costs are made;

6.  Negotiating with contractors and other professionals;

7.  Attending regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists;

8.  Liaising and engaging relevant statutory bodies on requisite approvals;

9.  Making site visits and check on progress of projects; and

10.Carrying out any other duties as directed by the Manager, Infrastructure and Estate Management.
