Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Human Resources Management

The Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Human Resources Management is a specialised, advanced undergraduate qualification designed to develop strategic, analytical, and professional competencies in the management of people within organisations. The programme integrates core commerce disciplines with advanced human resources (HR) theory and practice to prepare graduates for leadership roles in diverse organisational settings.

Students gain a deep understanding of labour relations, organisational behaviour, talent acquisition, performance management, and strategic human resources development. The honours year includes a strong research component, allowing students to investigate real‑world HR challenges and contribute to evidence‑based management practices.

To be admitted to the Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Human Resources Management, a candidate must have satisfied the minimum five ‘O’ level subjects including Mathematics and English Language with Grade C or better at GCE Ordinary Level or ZNQF equivalent standard.

The curriculum for the Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources Management (Honours) comprises 32 examinable courses, a supervised research project and work-related learning component which comprises of (Student’s Work Related Learning Report and Work Related Learning Continuous Assessment). Where a course has pre-requisites, a candidate is allowed to register for that course provided he/she has successfully completed the pre-requisites.

The student is expected to accumulate a minimum of 528 credit points to meet the requirements of Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources Management (Honours)
