Welcome To Zimbabwe Open University Manicaland Campus
Manicaland Regional Campus has a unique community outreach programme which has resulted in stakeholder partnership highlights, which, have contributed to developing managerial skills in the leadership of head teachers in the leading schools in Manicaland. Manicaland is the current national pole bearer in high school performance at ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels. On three occasions, Manicaland campus has been awarded, The Best institution in contributing to the human capital development awards in Manicaland, by the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce. Academic staff from the regional campus have participated in leading research and development programmes that contributed to revitalizing the school education system in the post-economic crisis era of 2008 and the Performance Lag Address Programme that assisted in bridging the learning gaps among students. Academic staff also participate in offering psycho-social support in various Manicaland communities living in difficult circumstances.
Student services
This department is headed by the Student Advisor who is there to offer guidance and counseling to students who have challenges affecting their studies.
Student Representative Council
The region has an active student representative body where all registered students are expected to be part of so that they can share experiences, challenges and also suggest solutions. The Council is also involved in sporting activities for all ZOU registered students.
Tutorial venues
Tutorials for the region are held at Mutare Polytechnic and Mutare Teachers’ Colleges.

District Centres
The regional campus also operates through district centres in Buhera, Chipinge, Makoni, and Nyanga districts. Makoni and Nyanga districts are manned by resident Administrative Assistants.
