NB: The graduation fee should be paid by 30 September 2026. The graduation fee is inclusive of the academic regalia.
3 Academic Regalia
Graduands shall only be admitted into the venue if they have proper ZOU Academic Regalia i.e. gown, appropriate hood and cap. The academic regalia shall be collected from the Regional Campuses on or before 05 October 2026. DPhil and MPhil graduands shall collect their academic regalia from the Post Graduate Research Office.
4 Dress Code
- Men should wear a suit, preferably dark in colour, with a plain white shirt and a dark tie.
- Women should wear a suit, preferably dark in colour, with a plain blouse.
5 Seating Arrangements
- There will be reserved sections for graduands, invited guests, VIPs and staff.
- The graduands' seats shall be arranged by Faculty, programme and in alphabetical order.
6 Guests
- Graduands may invite a maximum of two (2) guests.
- Admission to the Graduation Venue shall be strictly by invitation.
- Graduands should collect their invitation cards from their respective Regional Campuses by 06 October 2026.
7 Photographs
- ZOU shall appoint and accredit photographers. Graduands can select services from the accredited photographers.
- Personal photographers are NOT allowed into the Graduation Venue.

9 Collection of Degree Certificates
- Certificates shall be collected at the Graduation Venue soon after the Ceremony and shall be issued by the respective Regional Campus.
- Graduands shall be required to produce acceptable identification on collection of degree certificates and transcripts, i.e. National Identity Card / Valid Passport and proof of payment of graduation fees.
10 Payment of Outstanding Fees
- Only paid-up graduands shall receive their certificates and transcripts.
- Graduands must be cleared of any outstanding fees on or before 22 September 2026.
NB: No walk-in graduands shall be allowed entry into the graduation venue.
11 Alumni Statement
