Master of Science in Banking and Finance (MSCBF)
The Master of Science in Banking and Finance is a two-year programme leading academic qualification from the Zimbabwe Open University, one of the leading distance learning institutions in Southern Africa. The degree’s course content will provide students with a balance of theory, case studies and practical skills that are necessary in order to succeed in a dynamic and challenging business environment.
4.1: ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To be admitted to the programme, a candidate must have satisfied the minimum conditions for entry to degree studies at the Zimbabwe Open niversity as prescribed under the entry requirements in the General Academic Regulations for Masters degrees and must have obtained a minimum of first degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Accounting or their equivalents.
4.2 PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
The curriculum for the Master of Science in Banking and Finance comprises 16
courses and a supervised dissertation.
The programme shall be divided into two years, each year comprising two semesters.
Each student shall normally take a minimum of four (4) or five (5) courses per semester.
New courses may be added from time to time.
The student is expected to accumulate a minimum of 378 credit points to meet the requirements of the Master of Science in Banking and Finance.
