Your Dreams, Our Shared Vision: Designing the Future of Learning Together

The atmosphere at the Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) stand was filled with more than just excitement, it was filled with promise. We were honored to share our vision for the future of Open and Distance Flexible Learning (ODFL) with a high-level delegation dedicated to your success.

Hon. Simelisizwe Sibanda, Deputy Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development listen to Ms Charity Mabuyaye as she explains the Mushroom Monitoring Management system.

We welcomed Hon. Simelisizwe Sibanda, Deputy Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development and Prof. Fanuel Tagwira, Permanent Secretary, who saw firsthand how Education 5.0 is opening doors for students across the nation. Joining them was Dr. Willie Davison Ganda, the Director for Research Development and Innovation in the Ministry who explored how we are using technology to bring the university closer to every doorstep with innovative solutions for the nation at large.

Professor Fanuel Tagwira, Permanent Secretary for Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, gets a fill of the Ivhumunhu project from Ms. Margaret Chakurira being supported by Mr Methembe Walter Ndlovu, The Bulawayo Campus SRC President while Professor Paul H. Gundani look on.
Below: Dr. Willie Davison Ganda, the Director for Research Development and Innovation in the Ministry looks closely at the Organic Herb Based Soap being produced by a Mat North Regional Campus Student Innovator Lethukuphila Mlilo, while Pro Vice CChancellor  Research Innovation and Enterprise Development Professor Tavonga Njaya and Acting Dean Commerce Dr. Mbuyisa pay close attention.

It was also a joy to welcome the radiant Miss Tourism 2026, Zanele Moyo, a true symbol of the leadership and excellence we strive to ignite in every one of our learners.
