ZOU Integrity Committee Convenes for Critical Two-Day Workshop

The Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU), operating under the theme “Empowerment Through Open Learning”, is  hosting a crucial two-day workshop for its Integrity Committee on 4th and 5th December 2025. The 2-day workshop aims to reinforce integrity, tackle corruption, and strategically plan for the coming year. The proceedings for both days will be directed by Ms. Z. Shumba, the Director of Ceremonies

The first day will focus on personal accountability, addressing malpractices, and receiving leadership direction.

Professor P.H. Gundani is scheduled to deliver the Welcome Remarks and present the Vice Chancellor’s Vision and Expectations. A significant segment will be led by Professor T. Njaya, covering corruption and related malpractices and the subsequent evaluation of the ZOU 2025 Integrity Action Plan.

The second day is dedicated to the development and finalisation of the new action plan for the coming year.

Professor T. Njaya will spearhead the core activities of the day, guiding the committee through developing the Insight Proposal, conducting group discussions to formulate the 2026 Integrity Action Plan, facilitating group presentations, and finally populating the definitive 2026 ZOU Integrity Action Plan. The workshop will conclude with closing remarks set to be delivered by Dr T. Zinyama.
