ZOU Invests in Advisor Development for Enhanced Student Support

The Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) is investing in its most crucial human capital: the student advisors. Holding a two-day workshop from 4th to 5th of August 2025, at Zimbabwe Institute of Public Administration (ZIPAM), the event aims to equip advisors, support officers, and administrators with the skills needed to meet the challenges of the future to enable them to provide inclusive, strategic, and student-centered support.

The workshop, titled “Empowering Advisors for Inclusive, Strategic and Student-Centered Support,” is more than just a training session; it’s a future-focused initiative. The university is preparing its staff to handle the complexities of a new era, where student needs are evolving faster than ever. From integrating artificial intelligence into their workflows to mastering advanced communication techniques, ZOU is ensuring its advisors are ready to provide support that is both cutting-edge and deeply personal.
