Faculty Core Values
The Faculty of Arts, Culture and Heritage Studies embraces the Zimbabwe Open University core values. As a Unit, its values are:

Accountability
The general entry requirement for undergraduate programmes offered in the Faculty is that an applicant must have a minimum of five Ordinary Level passes, with a C or better, including English Language.
Delivery Strategies
All programmes are delivered through the open and distance learning mode. This includes:
- E-teaching and learning through the University’s MyVista E-Learning platform
- Specially prepared learning materials in modular form
- Weekend tutorials

By conducting needs surveys before the development of any new programme, the Faculty succeeds in offering market-driven programmes that answer to the national development needs. It periodically reviews its programmes for continued relevance to the market.
Departments and Programmes on Offer
The Faculty currently has four Departments namely;
- Department of Languages and Literature
- Department of Culture and Heriatge Studies
- Department of Media and Journalism Studies and,
- Department of Religius Studies and Philosophy
- Doctor of Philosophy (3-8 years)
- Master of Philosophy
- Bachelor of Arts Special Honours in Literature in English (BASHLIT- 1 year)
- Bachelor of Arts Honours in English and Communication (BHEC- 4 years)
