Summary of the Faculty
The faculty of Education started operating in 1993, the same time the Zimbabwe Open University opened as the Centre for Distance Education (CDE), then, under the University of Zimbabwe.

- MASTER OF EDUCATION IN EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT {MEDMGT(Z)}
The minimum duration for the degree programme shall be one and half years (three semesters) and the maximum shall be six years (twelve semesters).
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- a) Bachelor of Education degree with a minimum of a lower second class pass (2.2);
- b) Any other relevant first degree with a minimum of 2.2 and some
recognized experience in a management post.
- BACHELOR OF EDUCATION HONOURS IN MANAGEMENT (BEHM)
The minimum duration for the degree shall be 2 years (four semesters) and the maximum shall be four years (eight semesters).
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
For admission to the degree programme, applicants must have a relevant diploma/certificate in education.
- BACHELOR OF EDUCATION HONOURS IN YOUTHWORK (BEHY)
The minimum duration for the degree shall be four years (eight semesters) and the maximum shall be eight years (sixteen semesters).
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
For admission to the degree programme, applicants must have a minimum of 5
O’ levels including English, Mathematics and Science;
Special Entry
A prospective student may be admitted on Special Entry or Accreditation Prior Learning route in accordance with the University’s General Academic Regulations
