Abisha Mugari

A senior lecturer in the department of Physical Education and Sport at the Zimbabwe Open University in the Faculty of Science. He is the Mashonaland East Regional Campus Programme Coordinator responsible for coordinating and lecturing PES courses. He is manning these courses: PHES 312, PHES 317, PHES 319, PHES 405. Currently, he is about to complete Doctorate in Physical Education and Sport. He holds Master’s degree in Educational Management (MSU), Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Sport (ZOU), Certificate of Education (Seke Trs College), Certificate in Rugby as a trainer, certificate in International Athletics Association, certificate in Soccer Referees of Zimbabwe, certificate in Tug-Rugby, certificate in Sports Administration, certificate in Cricket training and coaching, certificate in module writing. His research interest focuses on sport ethics, sport leadership and governance, morality in sport and gender discourses. He has published 16 research articles in the international refereed journals and has presented 10 papers at conferences local and outside the country. He is a member of American College of Sport Medicine. He is also Mashonaland East Regional Campus Health and Wellness Coordinator.
